Q: How do I install my TOC Insights?

A: Please follow these three easy steps to start using your TOC Insights:

1. Go to http://toc-goldratt.com/toc-insights/download to start the downloading procedure of your TOC Insights.

2. If you already registered at GMG Web Site (toc-goldratt.com) before, then supply your login and password where indicated (you may recover your login information by using the available link to do so). If you have never registered, please provide your email (where indicated), press Submit and provide the required information for registration.

3. You should be directed to the TOC Insights Download web page (if not, please go to step 1). There are several languages available for each session. Make sure to select the language you would like to use. Download the TOC Insights session from the web site by saving the file on your computer's hard disk. Unzip the file and double click on the unzipped EXE file to run the TOC Insights session. If this is the first time you are accessing your TOC Insights, you will have to go through the registration and installation procedure. This is only required for the first time. The computer must be connected to the internet. Follow the on screen instructions. Register each TOC Insights using your Login information and your ACCESS KEY(s)*.

Each access key is for personal use and can be registered in two computers by the same person. These programs are for Individual use (single user
license) only (please click on http://toc-goldratt.com/toc-insights/license to review the license agreement).

Every time you want to use your registered TOC Insights, open the installed TOC Insights file located in your hard disk. You do NOT need to register again, unless you have uninstalled them. We strongly recommend that you close all open programs before viewing the TOC Insights.

 
Q: When I try to install or uninstall it does not recognize my user name.

A: If you are a registered Goldratt's Marketing Group's (toc-goldratt.com) web site user, then you must use your Login Name and Password for the install/uninstall procedure. But, if this is the first time you register, you will have to supply all the required information. If you do not remember your Login name and password, please go to http://TOC-Goldratt.com/login.php to retrieve it.

IMPORTANT: Login Name and Password ARE case sensitive.

 
Q: I lost my TOC Insights access keys. How can I retrieve them?

A: The TOC Insights information is sent to your registered email address immediately after you purchase (not only download) your TOC Insights.

If you have lost this email with the Insights access keys, you can access your TOC Insights keys from our website at anytime. Please go to:

Please make sure your registered information (email address) is correct at:

Q: The system does not allow me to install the TOC Insights on my second computer.

A: In order to have a successful second installation, you must enter the following:
1) The Access Key
2) The same username and password used for the first installation. If any of this information is incorrect, then the installation will not be done. The username and password are case sensitive. To retrieve your login information or to update your information, please go to http://www.TOC-Goldratt.com/login

 
Q: The Insights have been removed from the computer. How can I install them?

A: If you have downloaded the Insights and then the Insights file has been removed from the computer, then download the TOC Insights again. You can download as many times as needed from: http://www.TOC-Goldratt.com/toc-insights/download.

You can also install them on the same computer anytime you have a problem, as long as it is the same computer and you use the same access keys. Once you have downloaded the Insights, open them and perform the installation from the computers where the TOC Insights where initially registered and installed. You will need your login name*, password and access keys to do so.

*Login name is the one used by the website to identify you (i.e. ordering process, installation of SLP, etc). Please make sure to type the login name and password correctly. They are case sensitive! To retrieve the login information or to update your information, please go to:

Q: I have installed the program in one computer and now I would like to uninstall it to be able to install it again in a different computer.

A: If you are changing computers, then you have to uninstall the TOC Insights from the old computer and reinstall them on the new one. For instructions on how to uninstall please click here .

 
Q: If I need to format the hard drive, install or upgrade the operating system, or exchange my computer, do I need to uninstall the TOC Insights?

A: When formatting your hard drive, installing or upgrading the operating system, or exchanging the computer, ALWAYS make sure to UNINSTALL the TOC Insights first (or else additional charges will apply). Every time you uninstall the program, your records will be updated and an installation chance will be added. If possible you should uninstall the TOC Insights from the old laptop.

Q: I can't install the program even though I am connected to the internet through a LAN.

A: The installation program recognizes the most common internet connections. Some of the LAN connections are not recognized on older versions, due to configurations differences. Please download the newest version of the TOC Insights again from http://toc-goldratt.com/toc-insights/download.

The program is zipped. You should use WinZip to extract the program.

Q: How do I uninstall the TOC Insights?

A: Here are the steps to UNINSTALL the TOC Insights:

  1. First you will need to open the Insights session. Inside of the session, please choose FILE from the top menu, then >>>choose UNINSTALL.
  2. Next you will be prompted with an onscreen window: CONFIRM: Really want to uninstall the application? YES NO >>> Click YES
  3. Then you will prompted with an onscreen window: WELCOME: In order to install & uninstall the TOC Insights you must be connected to the Internet. Make sure you're connected and then >>> Click NEXT
  4. Now you will go to Goldratt's Marketing Group's INSTALLATION page.
    The following information will appear on your screen:
    TOC Insights Key Uninstall
    Please type your User name and Password. If you forgot your login information please click here.

    Login Name
    Password
    >>> Enter your Login & Password (please remember they are case sensitive!) and then click SUBMIT.
  5. Next, you will receive an onscreen message: INFORMATION: The un-installation has been successful! >>> Click OK
  6. You must REPEAT these same steps in order to uninstall EACH of the 4 TOC Insights
 

 

Q: Do I need to be connected to the internet to run/use the TOC Insights?

A: There are two versions of the TOC Insights available: The downloadable version and the web based version. In order to use the web based version you must be connected to the internet, but if you purchase the downloadable version, then you will need to connect to the internet, JUST for registration and installation. Once you have installed the TOC Insights downloadable version, you will NOT need to connect again to use them.  For more information on the TOC Insights please go to http://toc-goldratt.com/toc-insights/info.

 
Q: When I try to view the TOC Insights the following error message appears: “Resource Flash not found”.

A: Please download and install the Flash Player from http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer. If that does not solve the problem, then make sure you download the latest version of the TOC Insights from our web site at http://toc-goldratt.com/toc-insights/download. Once you have done so, reinstall the TOC Insights.

 
Q: I would like to show someone else the TOC Insights. How can I do this?

A: The TOC Insights can be shown to others as long as the user has them installed in his/her computer. Nevertheless, if you are interested for someone else to see/evaluate the TOC Insights by themselves, then we can suggest two options:

  1. Send them the FREE TOC Insights Excerpts available at http://toc-goldratt.com/toc-insights/info.

Q: Under the Client Server Version, can the TOC Insights be available from remote locations?

A: The TOC Insights Client Server Application allows customers to access the TOC Insights through a VPN. Under the Client Server Application, the TOC Insights will reside on a server and a "client" will be able to access them using a VPN, as long as there is a license available and the Client Application is installed on the "client" computer.

 
Q: What is the difference between the TOC Self Learning Programs and TOC Insights?

A: The TOC Self Learning Program (TOC-SLP) is the CD-ROM series of the Goldratt Satellite Program presented by Dr. Goldratt. The TOC Insights is a self-learning, interactive material created by Dr. Goldratt & Avraham (Rami) Goldratt.

The TOC-SLP and TOC-Insights do function independently of one another, and they do complement one another very well. Both are ideal for self-learning and can be used to deepen the understanding of TOC beyond the limited knowledge available in the books. Users can learn at their own speed and easily review any of the material, as they need.

There are three ways in which the SLP & Insights are different:

  1. Format: the TOC-SLP is a video and audio presentation given by Dr. Goldratt which is available on CD-Rom format. The TOC Insights is an interactive (Q&A with text & animations) web course type presentation which is available in a download or web-based version.

  3. Content: The TOC-SLP is an excellent overview of the Theory of Constraints, in which Dr. Goldratt presents the concepts and examples of TOC in no more than 2.5 hours each.
    Both The TOC Insights and the TOC-SLP answer the three main questions of improvement: (1) What to change? (2) What to change to? And (3) How to cause the change. However, in the TOC–SLP Dr. Goldratt presents them, but the TOC Insights uses a self-learning Q&A type mode in which examples, exercises and animations help the understanding of TOC and its applications. The knowledge found in the TOC Insights goes beyond that of simply being an overview, since the user will deepen its understanding every time he/she goes through the material.

    Both, the TOC-SLP and the TOC Insights complement each other very well.
 
Q: I would like to give one of my customers/friends the TOC insights. How can I do this?

A: You have two options:

1. You can purchase the Insights (web or download version) and pass the access keys to your customer/friend.
The purchase can be made at: http://toc-goldratt.com/toc-insight s/info. You will then receive an email with the access key information, which can be passed along to your customer/friend.

Q: When running the program the following error message appears: IE5.0 or higher is required. What should I do?
 
Q: During the TOC Insights installation, I received the following error message: Error: Unable to find Macromedia Shockwave Flash Player Version 6 or higher. Download and install it in order to use this software. I have the latest version of Flash player installed and I am using Windows 2000 SP2 (or Windows XP).

A: This problem can be solved as follows:

  • For those who are using Windows XP home edition 2002, the problem can be solved by upgrading Windows XP to SP2.
  • For those who are using Windows 2000, the problem can be resolved by degrading the Macromedia Shockwave to Version 6.

Q: I have the TOC Insights installed in English (or other) language, and I would like to use the TOC Insights in another language. What is the cost? and how do I install the new language?

A: If you already have the TOC Insights in any language, and you would like to have the TOC Insights in another language, you can download & install the additional language at no extra charge.

Please download the latest TOC Insights version from our website at:

Open and run the file. Since this will act as a "new version", you will be prompted with the installation procedure, where you will need to provide your login information and access keys (the same ones you have used for installing the original TOC Insights). Please know that this will be recorded as a new version installation on the computer. It does not record as another installation chance used.
