Odyssey Program 2005

A program to transfer the Theory Of Constraints critical Thinking Skills to young adults - 17 to 30 years of age. Develop the foundational skills to Think Critically - Understand basic Cause and Effect – navigating through Conflict and Thinking Holistically. Utilizing the Theory of Constraints (TOC) foundational building blocks to navigate through any chosen subject or circumstance. Developing the ability to recognize inherent simplicity within complexity.

Dr Eli Goldratt initiated the Odyssey program 10 years ago in a quest to teach critical thinking skills to young adults at this important stage in their life.
Dr Eli Goldratt – First to develop the Theory of Constraints (TOC), educator, author, physicist, philosopher, philanthropist, and business leader. But he is, first and foremost, a thinker who provokes others to think.

Based in Physics, Economics and Human Behaviour, the TOC critical thinking skills have been taught for the last two decades with great success in industry – notably, the US Marine Corp, UK Health Care systems, GM, Intel, in fact most of the worlds leading corporations have been influenced in part or wholly by the TOC application Tools and the Thinking Processes.

References can be found on the World Wide Web by searching for the Theory of Constraints successes, you will be surprised by the diversity and number of industrial and non-industrial applications and articles. e.g.: www.toc-goldratt.com.

The Odyssey Program development followed requests by successful TOC practitioners wanting their sons and daughters to receive the same opportunity to explore the world of TOC during the early part of their lives. During the Odyssey Program the basic Thinking Process Tools are applied to clarify and reveal the stepping stones required to achieve an ambitious life goal. There is no time pressure during the Program; participants will have time to explore their chosen subjects. The Odyssey program further provides the opportunity to meet young people from around the world and be exposed to alternate ways of thinking, helping you review your life and provide a new perspective on your choices. Alumni friendships from around the world have proven to remain long after the Odyssey Program is concluded.

            Odyssey Program conclusion.

Some of the world’s most experienced TOC educators have donated their time to this event – simply because they know the value that it has brought to young adults. We regularly encounter alumni who have undertaken some unexpected and remarkably innovative solutions later in life.

“The Odyssey is very close to my heart – it had an enormous influence on me as a teenager and I still consider it as one of the strongest experiences of growing up. It showed me how to widen my horizons.” Alumni - Revital Cohen, United Kingdom – involved in the remarkable logistical improvement of a number of Hospitals under the National Health Services UK.

From those who have dedicated their lives to develop the TOC ability to navigate through life – it is with pleasure that we invite others to acquire these same skills.

Kind Regards - The Goldratt Group sponsors.
